MIA TRAMZ IS A SENIOR MULTIMEDIA EDITOR WORKING IN PUBLISHING IN NEW YORK CITY.
At 0:14: Handling difficult salary and promotion negotiations: “I was trying to get up the courage to tell the head of my department that I had got another job offer making twice as much as I am making now and that I didn’t want to leave but I did want a raise.”
At 1:15: Finding the courage to ask for what you want and need. What’s making you hesitate? “You advised that I should say… And, I said all those things. And, it worked!”
At 1:54: Handling your emotionality in the workplace. “I cried a little bit while I was talking to her. It was very emotional for me. But I don’t think I would have gotten through that if I hadn’t talked to you first.”
At 2:55: “I never thought of myself as a woman who felt as though she was being held back by being a woman. I’m definitely a feminist…and I thought that it had nothing to do with what gender I was…talking with you made me realize the ways that I hold myself back without even really being aware of it…I might take an easy way out just because it’s uncomfortable…to advocate for myself.”
At 3:48: Life changing ideas come from frank discussions with an experienced professional coach: “You said to me, ‘This is a moment where you get to decide whether you are the person who asks for what you need or what you want – or NOT. And I will carry that with me for the rest of my days.”

Listening to Lenann was an overall wonderful experience. She was very knowledgeable, and motivated me regarding my future on an entirely new level. - James
Lenann ended our Skype conversation by giving our class advice. First she said, pay attention to success, not negativity. Next, approach the world with love. And lastly, don’t get defeated by life. Being that everyone in the room will soon be a postgraduate I found her advice to be extremely valuable. It had me leaving the room confident that no matter where my career path will lead me I cannot give up. To just keep trying no matter how many “no” responses I will receive. This is a very cherished life lesson and can be used in many different aspects of life. I really enjoyed everything Lenann had to say and appreciate her guidance. -Alyssa
Lenann was very informative and definitely knows what she is talking about! It was helpful getting to talk to someone that has been in the field and has made some mistakes, but is still so optimistic and successful, just goes to show no one is perfect! - Allison
Lenann brings a strong marketing, advertising and executive coaching background. She has consulted in 53 countries and is by any measure a successful woman owner of a consulting firm. She is particularly interested in encouraging women to not be discouraged by difficulties or failures they may encounter in their careers. She comes from a small Ohio town and has experienced the "glass ceiling" in a variety of forms. Students take away a sense of positive "can do" persistence from her visits, especially in the corporate sector area.
